Prevent ACL Injuries Together
Empowering Female Athletes for Success

About Me
My Mission

My name is Briawna Francis, and I am currently a 3rd year physical therapy student at the University of Indianapolis and a youth middle school basketball coach. I played basketball for 14 years and have now been coaching for 10. Through my time as a player and coach, I have seen many players sustain ACL tears. When I started PT school, I learned a lot about the body including muscular activation and proper body mechanics. This led me to question if there was a way to train female athletes to prevent the risk of ACL injury.
My mission is to provide coaches and athletes with information about why an ACL tear might occur and how they can optimally train their bodies to prevent ACL tears from occurring.
